Property law

Property law is the area of law that governs the various forms of ownership and interests (such as easements, boundaries, and deeds) in real property (land as distinct from personal or movable possessions) within the common law legal system. In the civil law system, there is a division between movable and immovable property.

Some, but not all, of the many areas which fall under property law are:

Easements
Mortgages and Deeds of Trust
Licenses in the use of land
Liens
Surveys
Boundaries
Installment Land Contracts
Adverse Possession
Clouds on Title
Actions to Quiet Title
